meet our founder, Annabelle

A mother of four navigating severe autoimmune challenges, Annabelle began developing nourishing recipes more than twenty years ago first in her own kitchen, out of necessity and care. Alongside her husband, Tom, what began as a personal pursuit became a shared commitment to food that truly supports the body.

​​In The Ultimate Grain-Free Cookbook, Annabelle shares whole-food recipes made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients and simple, practical methods. In 2018, Anna joined the Dr. Gundry Podcast to discuss the cookbook and her approach to grain-free baking.

 

Together, she and Tom refined an approach rooted in practicality, transparency, and respect for what sustains. As their philosophy evolved, so did Forage, honoring its grain-free foundations while embracing thoughtfully selected organic grains and a continued focus on digestibility, sourcing integrity, and nutrient density.

Forage Breads is a return to
what sustains us.

Today, that work continues with their son Jacob and his wife Jahara, whose experience with endometriosis deepened the family's commitment to nourishment and stewardship. With their daughter, Ocean, as inspiration, the philosophy continues to evolve.


Forage is a table set with intention.

We thoughtfully source organic ingredients whenever possible, working with farmers and suppliers who share our standard for real, honest food.
